Kaʻao At The Core
What is Kaʻao?
Kaʻao is at the core of ALL of us and of all the things!
Kaʻao in English means myth or mythology. But Kaʻao is more than just that. Kaʻao is a coded story. A sacred document or rites of passage that exists in codes.
One has to be oriented to understand Kaʻao for its deeper meanings. At surface level Kaʻao is entertaining.... through deep Kaʻao one learns to connect at a variety of levels.
Kaʻao is a framework to help revitalize mythology in entertaining ways but also beyond to build actions for generations and to strengthen communities.
-Dr. Taupōuri Tangarō
Kaʻao encourages one to ask themselves three guiding questions:
Who am I?
Where do I belong?
What am I here to do?
Through the exploration of these three questions we explore kaʻao to the core!
